Alice Lefebvre Blankenship, age 97 of Waconia, MN, formerly Delano, Chanhassen, and Excelsior, passed away on February 15, 2026.

Preceded in death by her husband Harlan, her parents, and one brother.

Survived by 5 children, 8 grandsons, 15 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Alice was born in Wasquehal, France, and came to the United States after World War II with her parents. Alice worked in a cafe to learn to speak English, became a citizen, and married Harlan in 1949.

Alice loved to bake, cook, and host holidays. She was very involved with her church, and taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed her flower gardens, feeding and watching the birds, and later in life discovered a passion for painting, and shared many paintings with family and friends.

Alice always had coffee in the carafe, and something on hand to go with it. Everything she did revolved around her children, grandchildren, and family. She welcomed many people into their home over the years. Her love of hospitality was genuine and abundant.

Alice lived a simple life, and appreciated a cup of coffee, and a peaceful place to sit and relax.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
