Judith Kay "Judy" Chock

Judith Kay “Judy” Chock—age 69 of Buffalo, formerly of Delano—passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 30, 1951 to Lawrence and Catherine (Gnitka) Fautsch in Watertown, Minnesota.

Judy graduated from Delano High School in 1969. She attended the University of Minnesota earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Judy went on to work for the United States Postal Service retiring in 2015 after a 30-year career. She was united in marriage to Gregory M. Chock on December 15, 1972 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota.

Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She treasured sharing stories, playing games and spending time with family and friends. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling the world, including up north to the cabin on Leech Lake. Judy had such a caring nature and was always looking out for others.

Judy was preceded in death by her son Daniel; parents Lawrence and Catherine (Gnitka) Fautsch; sister and brother-in-law Delores (Fautsch) and Joe Piccard; parents-in-law Ray and Marian (Pastoret) Chock.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Greg; children Brad (Erin), Ken (Billie), Cari (Tommy) O’Laughlin; grandchildren Brendon and Logan Chock, Ellie and Danny Chock, Charlie O’Laughlin; sisters Dianne (Tom) Pettit, Marlene (Gene) Crepeau; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mike (Ruth) Chock, Jeff (Julie) Chock, Mary Beth Chock.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 AM on Friday, on December 18th, 2020 at the Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe (St. Peter Campus), Delano, Minnesota. Visitation took place on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM and continued Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM all at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.
