Marion Mahala Heins age 85 of Delano passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Annandale Care Center in Annandale, Minnesota. She was born March 20,1925 to William and Mahala (Harwood) Phillips in Clearlake, Wisconsin.

Marion attended and graduated from the Clearlake High School in Clearlake, Wisconsin. She has resided in Delano since the early 50”s. An active member, when she was able in her church, Village Evangelical Free Church in Independence, Minnesota. Marion wrote a book, titled Hardships and Joys, a story of her life.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband Vernon; a great grandson Kamden Gustafson; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her children Diana and Brian Zander, Dale and Jill Heins, David Heins; 6 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano, Minnesota. Pastor Donna Anderson officiated at the services with interment in the Delano Public Cemetery.
