Carol Maiers

Our hearts are full with sorrow as we announce the death of our loving and caring mother, Carol A. Maiers. She passed away in her sleep on Mothers Day, May 10th, at 4:20 a.m.
Carol worked for 30 years at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown. After retirement she volunteered at the local food shelf, sang in the choir and was active at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a beautiful and selfless woman who was devoted to her family and spread joy throughout her community. Her laugh was infectious and her kind spirit was recognized by all who were blessed to have known her.
She and her late husband, Phillip Maiers, raised 3 daughters and 6 sons – she will be greatly missed by all her children, their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her legacy will live on through their endless love and memories.
She is survived by her children Michelle (Peter) Maiers-Atakpu, Mary (Jens Jorgen) Lassen, Mark Maiers, Philip (Mindy) Maiers, David (Kelly) Maiers, Joseph (Debora) Maiers, Paul (Toni) Maiers, Margaret Maiers, Matt (Ashley) Maiers; 22 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings Dale (Janette) Boklep, Archie Boklep, JoAnne Sullivan, Anthony (Kathy) Hengel, Gerald (Mary Ness) Hengel, Kathy (Tom) Kidd; sister-in-law Marge Boklep.
Mass of Christian Burial was 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Watertown. Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. with Rosary 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday and continued Thursday 10-11 a.m. prior to Mass ALL at the church.
