Kathleen E. Farnick
September 5, 2023
Kathleen E. Farnick passed away on September 5, 2023. She was born on July 30, 1947 to Leo and Addie (Japs) Farnick. The youngest of eight children it was many times suggested that she was the spoiled one. Kathleen played the saxophone throughout her school years and was also active in drama. She was a graduate of Delano High School.
After graduation, Kathleen worked as an accountant for the Delano Granite Works followed by many years at Community Credit which later became Wells Fargo.
She loved to travel and made many happy memories on adventures with her sisters Carol Farnick and Donna Weiss and cousin Evangeline Kruzel.
Kathleen was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and lived independently for many years as the disease progressed. Though the disease was debilitating Kathleen had a fighting spirit, a strong spiritual belief in God, and a good brandy ginger ale to help her cope. The disease took over her body but never her mind or her beautiful soul.
Always a part of family gatherings we will all remember her laugh and the fun times we had with her.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Addie, her brothers Marvin, Harlan, Gordon and Ronald and her sister Donna Weiss. She is survived by her sisters Delores (Dolly) Cook and Carol Farnick.
She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, all who will always remember her fondly as Aunt Kathleen.
Though gone, she will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
A special thank you to Chris and Rob Harris for their many years of friendship and devotion to Kathleen.
