Marion E. Beal age 80 of Maple Plain passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota. She was born May 17, 1934 to Louis and Susan (Dehn) Schumacher in Dayton, Minnesota.
Marion was united in marriage to Willis L. Beal on September 9, 1953 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Anoka, Minnesota. She was a longtime sales representative for Avon. She was an active volunteer with the cancer society, Meals on Wheels and the local senior center. She was a substitute cook for the Orono Schools.
Marion enjoyed baking and entering baking contests. She once won a trip to Hawaii from a baking competition. She and Willis loved to square dance and traveled around the area square dancing for many years.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband Willis and infant sons Raymond and Joseph. She is survived by her children Stephen (Anne) Beal, Leonard (Anita) Beal, Suzanne (Thomas) Hauer, Marietta (Chris) Cady; 11 grandchildren: Bryan, David, Rebecca, Alex, Noah, Nathan, Andrew, Joe, Michael, Tessa, Tara; 1 great grandchild Emrik; brothers Elmer (Kate) Schumacher, Walter (Betty) Schumacher.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, Minnesota. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation continued on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church prior to Mass. Interment was in the church cemetery.
