Geraldine Leone Klaers, “Gerry” age 94 of Maple Plain passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Haven Homes in Maple Plain, Minnesota. She was born August 9, 1919 to John and Anna (Luffey) Hutter in Rockford, Minnesota.

Gerry was preceded in death by her husband James; a daughter Kathy Moore; a son Kenny Klaers; brothers Donald Hutter and Claude Hutter; sisters-in-law Margaret Hutter, Rose Hutter, Deloris James, Bernadette Klaers and Bernice Hutter; brothers-in-law Donald Klaers, Richard Klaers, Raymond Klaers and Matt James.

She is survived by her daughter Marge (Gene) Barfknecht; daughter-in-law Susan Klaers; son-in-law Charles Moore; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Eileen Klaers and Magdalene Klaers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto Minnesota. Visitation will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the church prior to Mass. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
