Leona Marie Yantes, age 93 of Delano passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born on September 14, 1921 in Montrose, Minnesota to William and Minnie (Weege) Dalbec.

Leona was hard working, she was active in her faith, and loved to garden and bake. She grew over 220 ft of cultivated flowers. She tended Calvary Cemetery with her husband for 14 years as a work of mercy.

Leona is survived by her husband of 76 years Ambrose; children Ralph (Jeanne) Yantes, Shirley Hayes, Stan (Barb) Yantes, and Gary (Sharon) Yantes; grandchildren; great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation took place on Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. with a 9 a.m. Rosary service at Martha”s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano, Minnesota.
