Kenneth J. Thomas, “Kenny” age 82 of Delano, passed peacefully on February 21, 2015. He was born on May 16, 1932 in Medina, Minnesota to Jacob and Anna (Schuler) Thomas.
Kenny was a unique and gentle soul. He was loved deeply by family and friends. Kenny served in the Army being honorably discharged in1955. Kenny liked to fish, hunt and spend time in the outdoors. He was a daily frequenter of the coffee clutch at Coborn’s in Delano. He was a true people person and loved to spend time with children, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a great story teller and was known for tooling around in his golf cart and giving rides to anyone that would take him up on it. He loved his dogs, especially “Little Boy” and “Tougher I and II”.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Anna Thomas and brothers Jacob Thomas and Norman Thomas. He is survived by his siblings Mary Ann (Russel) Bouley and Carl Thomas; nieces and nephews: Steve (Bess) Bouley, Kurt (Sandy) Bouley, Brenda (Steve) Sallstrom, Amy Thomas, Paula (Gary) Guennigsman, Jake (Linda) Thomas, Dave (Joanie) Thomas, Patty (Porsche) Chandler, Kathy (Bill) Bogart, Mike (Barb) Chandler, Chris (Jill) Thomas, Andrea (Kevin) Dietrich, Mary Jo (Darin) Braun; as well as many cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation was from 9 to 11:25 a.m. Thursday at Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church prior to Mass. Interment with Military Honors was in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Loretto, Minnesota.
