Angela Kling
June 4, 2016
Angela Carol Kling, age 69, of Maple Plain, passed away Saturday June 4, 2016 after a long illness. She was born on January 15, 1947 to Lloyd and Gena (Heen) Jevne in Sacred Heart, MN.
You can take the girl off the farm, but you can’t take the farm away from the girl. Angela loved going back to her country home, and nothing made her happier than spending hours on the mower, absorbed in cutting the grass. Her garden in Maple Plain is ripe with blooming flowers, and her loved collie dogs prance in their kennels. But there was the city girl too. She had a long career at the Soo Line Railroad, where she made many close friends. There are tickets to the Guthrie on her calendar, and she loved shopping home goods stores for decorations to her beautiful home. We also can’t forget how happy she was to make the rounds of all the lutefisk dinners she could find.
Angela was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey in 2001, her parents, and her ex-husband Richard Kling. Many cousins, friends and neighbors survive her.
She was quiet and sometimes hard to know, very independent, but also very giving. She volunteered for every task that needed to be done, and yet was reluctant to take help herself. Sometimes cousins and friends had to force hugs on her, and remind her that she was loved also. We will miss her very much.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation was held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Monday prior to the services. Interment followed the services at the Lewis Cemetery in Maple Plain, Minnesota.
