Phyllis G. Leaf, age 79 of Watertown, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016. She was born on August 22, 1936 to Edward and Anna (Kusserow) Schuette in Camden Township, Mayer, Minnesota.

Phyllis was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer. She was united in marriage to Lyle W. Leaf on June 14, 1956. They lived on the family farm near Watertown where they raised 3 daughters.

Phyllis helped on the farm and worked part-time as a legal secretary in Delano. She enjoyed sewing, reading and dancing. Phyllis was very active in her church and loved her family at Peace Lutheran as well as her exercise friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, parents Edward and Anna (Kusserow) Schuette, brothers Kenneth Schuette and Delbert Schuette; parents-in-law Edwin and Bertha Leaf; brothers-in-law Stanley (Grace) Leaf, Calvin (Joy) Leaf, Emery Leaf and Willmar Guetzkow; sisters-in-law Gayle (Allen) Quaas, Delores (Roy) Quaas, Hallie (Melvin) Henzel and June (Clarence) Socher.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters Sharyl (Warren) Schultz, Bonnie (John) Sadergaski and Becky Leaf; 5 grandchildren Tiffany Sadergaski, Calvin Schultz, Sam Schultz, Whitney Sadergaski and Sidney Sadergaski; sister Darlene (Robert) Niesen; sisters-in-law Norma Leaf, Erna Schuette and Eldores (Myron) Schuette; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service was held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, Watertown. A Gathering of family and friends was 9-11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church. Memorials can be made to Peace Lutheran Church – building fund.
