Catholine L. Scanlon, age 86 of Loretto, went peacefully to her heavenly home on October 27, 2017 following a lengthy battle with dementia. She was born on April 18, 1931 in Richmond, Minnesota to Henry and Magdalena (Kraemer) Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick, son Thomas “Red” and daughter-in-law Rita. She is survived by her sons Leon (Cheryl), Dale (Sue), Larry (Colleen); daughter-in-law Ann; grandchildren Ben (Richele), Brandon (Wendie), William, Mackenzie; great grandchildren Kaylie, Lauren, Jack, Wyatt; brother Donald (Barb) Meyer; sisters-in-law Lois Padden, Stanna Meyer, Delores Ligeros; devoted friend Rita Otten and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was 11 AM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto. Visitation was Thursday, from 9-11 AM prior to the Mass at the church. Interment was in the church cemetery. A special thank you to the staff at The Estates of St. Louis Park for their care and compassion.
