Janel E. Christensen age 66 of Delano passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015. She was born September 10, 1949 to Ervin and Erna (Bruesehoff) Grimm in Maple Plain, Minnesota. Janel loved camping and was a diehard Elvis fan. She and her husband made countless trips to Memphis to visit Graceland. She attended a one room school house in Lyndale in her grade school years and went on to Watertown Mayer High School where she graduated in 1967. Janel was preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Erna Grimm; parents-in-law Virginia Christensen-Saunders and Robert Christensen; sisters-in-law Cathy Grimm and Linda Byers. She is survived by her husband of almost 45 years Michael; children Cary “Red” Christensen, Paul (Jody) Christensen, Adam Christensen, Jake (Jen) Christensen, Heidi (Aaron) Bergquist, Brandi Christensen; grandchildren Carter, Isabela, Satine, Ryder, Sorelle, Saije, Chase; siblings Harlan (Laurie) Grimm, Dianne Michelson, Myra Scharber, Rita Grimm, and Ken Grimm. Memorial services were held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano, Minnesota. Gathering of family and friends was on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church prior to services. Private family inurnment in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
