Janet Hamilton died peacefully on June 15, 2018 after a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Janet Ruby (Barfknecht) Hamilton was born September 8, 1938 in Watertown, MN to parents Ruby (Wandersee) and Gust Barfknecht.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Don Hamilton, and her brother Gene Barfknecht.

For 25 years, she was married to Willie Honebrink, with whom she had four children.

She is survived by her daughters Kim (Honebrink) Meinzer, Madison Lake, MN; Sandy Honebrink, Maple Plain, MN; Lisa Honebrink, Scottsdale, AZ; and Julie Honebrink, Minneapolis, MN; sister Nancy Pedersen, Delano, MN; as well as three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.

Janet was a devoted mother, and generous, thoughtful and loyal friend to many in Buffalo and Delano as well as Apache Junction, AZ.

A Celebration of Life was Wednesday, June 27 at Buffalo Covenant, 1601 Highway 25 North, Buffalo, MN at 11:00 a.m. Lunch followed in the church fellowship hall. Memorials can be made to Buffalo Covenant Church; Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, Gold Canyon, AZ; or donor’s choice.
