Joseph Leo Schaust age 90 of Delano passed away on Easter Sunday with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. Joseph was born on July 12, 1925 to Anthony and Elizabeth (Pogreba) Schaust in Franklin Township, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Elizabeth (Pogreba) Schaust; siblings and spouses Leona (George) Fake, Anthony Schaust, Betty (Rich) Gabrelcik, Loren (Dorothy) Schaust, Glen Litfin and Bob Farniok; grandson Craig Peterson; brother-in-law Ray (Bernice) Kittock; sister-in-law Kitty (Marty) VanLith

He is survived by his wife Lorraine (Kittock) of 67 years; children Joseph Schaust Jr., Mary Peterson, Pat Honebrink, Tom (Marlene) Schaust, Rick (Tammy) Schaust, Larry (Joyce) Schaust, Vicki Schaust; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings Arlene Litfin, Jean Farniok, George (Joan) Schaust, Leonard (Maxine) Schaust, Matt (Estelle) Schaust. sister-in-law Deloris Schaust.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation was  Thursday from 4-8 p.m. with 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service and continued Friday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. with 9:30 a.m. Rosary Service all in Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. Peter Catholic Church.
