Terry D. Ewert went home to be with his Lord on June 18, 2019 at home with family present. He was born on November 29, 1952 in Waseca, MN to Leonard and Helen (Kleinow) Ewert. He grew up on the family farm near Janesville, MN and graduated from the Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca, MN in 1970. He proudly served in the MN Army National Guard from 1970-1976 as SP4 with honorable discharge. On February 15, 1975 he was united in marriage to Donna Krenke. Together they raised five children. After relocating from the family farm in the seventies, Terry worked as a truck driver for various employers before retiring from Randy’s Sanitation of Delano after 23 years of service.

He was a faithful member of Divine Love Christian Fellowship of Champlin, MN and served as a loyal deacon and trustee for many years.

He enjoyed working with animals and being surrounded by nature. He found joy in watching the many varieties of birds that came to his feeders. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. But most of all he enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his wife of forty four years: Donna of Delano, MN; children: Amy Ewert of St. Michael, MN; Jared Ewert and Teri Schneider with children Jaxon and Aubrey of Waverly, MN; Alane Ewert of Waverly, MN; Angela Ewert and Monty Olson with children Nathen and Jace of Delano, MN; and Andrea and Nick Helmer with children Savannah, Ella, and Otto of Delano, MN. Two siblings: Pam (and Ron) Morris of Bloomington, MN and Dennis (and Nancy) Ewert of Janesville, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Helen (Kleinow) Ewert and a niece, Darla (Ewert) Riley.

A Memorial Service was held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Evangelical Free Church of Watertown. A Gathering of family and friends was on Tuesday, July 2nd from 4 to 7 pm, at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano. Gathering continued Wednesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the service, at the church.  Inurnment with Military Honors was in the Delano Public Cemetery.
