Sandra Jo Vass passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 26, 2020 at her home
of 35 years in Delano, Minnesota. She was born on July 17, 1957 to Robert and Willma Baird
near Wichita, Kansas.

Sandi was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, and Sister who touched many lives
through endless acts of kindness and a warm smile. She is survived by her husband of 42
years, Roger, daughters Teresa Spurzem (Jake) and Sarah Vass, son Shaun Vass
(Sarah-Kay), and her Granddaughters Izabelle and Ellie Spurzem.

She served the Delano community as a child caregiver and teacher’s aid for over 20 years, as
well as sharing her many talents working at Apple Jack Orchards. Sandi loved bowling,
gardening, creating art, and raising her Scottish Terriers. Her dedication to her family and
friends will always be remembered and celebrated.

A private ceremony was held in Delano October 29, 2020 at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano.
A celebration of life gathering is planned for Fall 2021.
