Doris M. "Dee" Vieths

Doris Marion “Dee” Vieths, of Waverly, was born October 23, 1942 in St. Albans, Vermont to Fred and Dorothy (Keenan) Cameron. She graduated from Enosberg Falls High School in Enosberg Falls, Vermont and then joined the US Army, where she served in the Logistics Corp. During that time, she married Ronald G. Vieths on August 18, 1962. She was medically discharged just shy of 2 years.
Dee traveled with Ron for the next 6 years. They settled down in Plymouth in 1968. A few years later, she started working as a CPN at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Wayzata. She worked there for 7 years. Dee and Ron moved to Waverly in 1977. They bought the Log Cabin Café in Cokato which she cooked/ran for the next 4 years.
Dee’s favorite hobbies were cooking, playing bingo and any other card games she could. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Ron; granddaughter Karissa Vieths; parents Fred and Dorothy Cameron; sister Diane Desautel; and brother Wayne Cameron. She is survived by her 6 sons Ronald (Robyn), Randall (Carla Spizzo), Stephen, Michael (Debbie Hilde), David (Kim), Kenneth (Heather); 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; twin brother Dayton Cameron; close friend Cherri Benson and many nephews and nieces.
Dee passed away at home on Thursday afternoon, June 17th, at the age of 78, of natural causes.
Visitation was Friday, June 25, 2021 from 11AM – 2PM with a 1:30PM Prayer Service at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano. Inurnment will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
