Germaine Elizabeth (Roerig), age 86 of Watertown, passed away on December 23, 2023. She was born on January 14, 1937, to Nicholas and Mary Roerig.
She was raised on a farm in Browns Valley, Minnesota, along with six sisters and one brother.
She met and married Kenneth Tobeck of Wheaton, Minnesota on October 18, 1958. To this union, three children were blessed.
Preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents, siblings Phyllis (Vern) Schmitz, Elaine (Tom) Kenney, Mary Ann (Ben) Kruger, George (Aggie) Roerig, Marvin Hannasch, Leonel Saravia and Theresa Ruiz.
Germaine is survived by her children Clare (Tom) Groninga, Natalie (Bill) Boisvert, Lorne Tobeck; chosen daughter Robi (Kevin) Schmidt; grandchildren Katherine (Kevin) Massey, Elizabeth Groninga, Hunter Boisvert, and Sophie Boisvert, Lexi (Kevin) Uhrmacher, Maren (Mikko) Rich; great-grandchildren Kyle, Samantha, Amara, Makayla, John, Isaiah, and Nolan; and siblings Rita Hannasch and Kathryn Saravia.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, Minnesota. Visitation was held prior to the Mass from 9-11 AM. Interment in the church cemetery.
