Bruce Gerald, age 78 of Watertown, was released from physical pain on April 24, 2025. He was born on January 22, 1947, to Gerald and Fran (Gallus). He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gary and Mark; and brothers in law Butch Brady and Tom Schumacher. He is survived by his wife Michelle; sons and grandchildren Brett (Kathy Johnson) with Kami and Levi, and Michael (Melissa) with Madelyn and Teddy; sisters Char Brady, Kay Schumacher, and Mary (Dave) Swartzer; as well as a large in-law family of Kraemers.

Bruce was grateful for his sons who he doted on and enjoyed many fishing trips, hunting of all kinds, and sporting events with him, and supported the sports of their choice. He was happy he found a profession he loved. After getting degrees from St. Cloud State, University of Minnesota, and St. Thomas, he started his teaching and school administration career in the Catholic Schools in Delano and Excelsior. He then went on to Watertown-Mayer High School for over three decades, also provided his talents as a coach.

In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed vegetable gardening, splitting wood, playing Blackjack and Texas Hold ‘em, and bowling. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1967-1973. When Bruce was younger, he was in the Golden Gloves, played football in high school and college, and was a catcher in baseball and softball.

Bruce donated his brain to Boston University for their study on CTE. Due to this, private family services will be held. Memorials can be sent to the family at 44 Riverside Terrace in Watertown, Minnesota 55388.
