Bernice Euerle

Bernice Euerle went to visit a special garden and painting studio in the sky on December 16, 2012.
Bernice was born January 26, 1932, in Litchfield MN. Her parents were Henry and Alma (Radunz) Groskreutz. She attended country school and then attended and graduated from Litchfield High School. She was employed by the Litchfield Hospital.
Bernice married Orville Euerle in St. Mathew’s Church in Forest City, MN, on July 8, 1950. They moved to Delano, MN, and while living there were blessed with six children. They enjoyed 60 beautiful years of marriage. They joined St. Paul’s United Church of Christ of Delano where Bernice was active in Sunday School and organized Bible School.
Bernice was also a member and past president of the Delano Legion Auxiliary.
Bernice loved gardening flowers, canning, sewing, painting, playing cards, knitting and crocheting. She was very creative and artistic. She also enjoyed traveling with Orville when they both retired.
Bernice was an artist known for oil painting and making greeting cards for family and friends. She brought joy to many people through her paintings. Bernice loved her
Family – children, grand children, and great grand children. She loved having them all home for special occasions. She will be greatly missed by her family, and also by her friends and all that knew her.
Bernice is survived by her children Brenda (Dan) Gardner of Belle Plaine, MN; Deb (Dennis) Wehle of New Prague, MN; Dan (Vicki) Euerle of Motley, MN; Charles (Patti) Euerle of Delano, MN; Scott (Missy) Euerle of Buffalo, MN; as well as grandchildren and spouses; Kim (Ron) Mayerhofer, Tom (Amy) Gardner, Kristin Gardner, McKenzie (Donny) Zitur, Katie Euerle, Kodie Euerle, Hannah Euerle, Alex Euerle and great grandchildren Hunter Zitur, Elizabeth Gardner, Ethan Mayerhofer, Sophia Gardner; one sister, Ethel, and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; one daughter, Betty Jo; daughter-in-law Julie Euerle; Siblings Jeanette Hurley, Clarence Groskreutz and Arnold Groskreutz.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Delano, Minnesota. Chaplain Helmar Heckel officiated at the services.
