Jean Marie Bauman (Thelen) age 72 of rural Delano, MN passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her home in the loving arms of her husband of 46 years Anthony and in the presence of her children and spouses Luke, Elaine (Greg Larcom), Rita (Mike) Vannett, Ellen, Greg (Marie), Pete (Bridget), and Tim (Christy). Along with her husband and children (spouses) Jean is also survived by thirteen grandchildren (Katy, Maranda, Louie, Sophia, Joey, and Gianna Vannett; Elizabeth Bauman; Jake, Connor, Charlie, and Avery Bauman; Michael and Gabriel Bauman.

Jean anticipated the joys of being greeted by loved ones who preceded her in death including parents (Norbert and Evelyn Thelen), sisters Elaine and Joan and brother Vern, and sister-in-law Dory. With great joy, Jean also anticipated meeting her five grandchildren lost to miscarriages.

Jean lived a life of simplicity, allowing her to share what was most important to her – her love – through her kindness, gentleness, humility, and service. She expressed these simple traits every day in her kind words, smile, and gentle touch.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5th from 4-8 pm, with a Rosary service at 4pm in Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church and will continue on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 6th at 11 am at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota with lunch to follow.
