Richard Vincent Doboszenski, “Rich” age 74 of Rockford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 3, 2021.  He was born August 21, 1947 to Vincent and Rose (Marx) Doboszenski in Watertown, Minnesota.

Rich was a loving father. grandfather. brother, uncle and friend.  He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family.  Fishing was a hobby that he enjoyed for many years.  He grew up in Loretto, Minnesota and attended Delano High School, graduating in 1966.  Rich was inducted into the Army and served during the Vietnam war.  He was Honorably Discharged in September of 1968.  Rich made his career in the roofing industry.

Rich was preceded in death by his son Christopher; grandson Christian; parents Vincent and Rose Doboszenski; siblings Delrose Kilthau, Kathleen Peterson, Ronald Doboszenki; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Richard Peterson, Leonard Schlosser “Junior”, Arlene Doboszenski, Phyllis Doboszenski; as well as many other extended family.

Rich is survived by his sons: Charlie (Kristin) Doboszenski, Billy (Lacey) Doboszenski; grandchildren Jayden, Peyton, Maevy and Mikey; siblings Bernice Schlosser, Leander (Lucy) Doboszenski, Gerald (Eldoris) Doboszenski, James Doboszenski, Kenneth Doboszenski, Marvin (Marlene) Doboszenski, Anthony (Margaret) Doboszenski; sister-in-law Marlis Doboszenski; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, Minnesota.  Visitation was held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, Minnesota.  Visitation continued on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church prior to Mass.  Interment with military honors was in the church cemetery.
