Alvin T. “Al” Balgaard age 89 of Watertown, formerly of Orono and Howard Lake died on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 after a sudden stroke.  Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  Survived by wife Beatrice; children Joyce, Charles, Anita Grimm, Elroy, Bruce; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.  Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, Christ Lutheran Church, Maple Plain.  Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church prior to services.
