Benedict R. Altenhofen, age 78, passed away on April 6, 2024, at the Gardens of Winsted in Winsted, Minnesota after a long battle with cancer. Ben is at peace now.

Benedict was born on June 21, 1945, in Hutchinson, Minnesota, the son of Benedict and Dorothy (Bollman) Altenhofen. Ben worked for Tonka Toys, Rainbow Foods, and Coborn’s for many years. Ben took great pride in his two Pomeranian dogs who gave him many hours of companionship and joy.

Ben is preceded in death by his parents Benedict and Dorothy; siblings Bernadette and Matthew Altenhofen; and niece Pamela Rademacher.

He is survived by his loving family: sister Mary Ann (Adrian) Rademacher; nephews Dean (Ellen) Rademacher; David (Robin) Rademacher; niece Jodi (Jason) Radel; as well as many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

A private memorial service was held in the future at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano, Minnesota. The inurnment took place at Calvary Cemetery in Delano, Minnesota at a later date.
