Betty Marie Gruette, age 90 of Winsted, Minnesota passed away on September 17, 2020 at The Gardens at Winsted with family by her side. She was born on March 11, 1930 in Laird, Colorado to August and Thelma (Carey) Carlson.
Betty was united to Vern Gruette on July 28, 1961. She was a member of the Oster Evangelical Covenant Church in rural Winsted. Betty enjoyed playing Bingo, puzzles, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Vern in 1993; brothers Earnest Carlson and August Carlson. She is survived by her children Vaughn (Jan) Nash, Kathy (Doug) Vollrath, William “Willy” (Sharon) Gruette, Laura (Dan) Ferguson, Mark (Diane) Gruette, and Gerald (Melissa) Gruette; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sisters Elsie Gustafson and Nancy (Bill) Bledsoe; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family inurnment will be at the Union Cemetery in Mound, Minnesota. Celebration of Life TBD.
