Clyde Gordon Stieve, “Pap” age 74 of Delano, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. He was born September 16, 1946 in Watertown, Minnesota to Earl and Doris (Kutzke) Stieve.
Clyde was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was united in marriage to Linda Mae Stender on January 4, 1967 in Watertown, South Dakota. To this union, they were blessed with three children.
Clyde made his living as a truck driver. He loved to spend time at the lake home in Osakis, time spent fishing, playing cribbage, campfires, wood working, but most of all, spending time with family. Clyde’s favorite sayings were: “I love you a lot, spread it around.” and “Do something to make me proud.”
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Doris Stieve; brother Steven Stieve; parents-in-law LeRoy and Marge Stender.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda; children Ann (David) Lowe, Becky (Richard) Jobe, and Dawn (Daniel) Gjertson; grandchildren Zachary (Ricarda) Lowe, Ryan Lowe, Aaron Lowe, Matthew (Bethanni) Jobe, Whitney (Greg) Semolina, Kimberly (Hans) Schnoor, Joe (Christine) Jobe, Stephanie Jobe, Corey Jobe, Joel Gjertson, and Jesse Gjertson; great grandchildren Rorye, Baylor, Dawson, Elliott, Alexander, Auraya, Kennedy, Henry, Everliegh, Mallorie, and Elijah; siblings Charlotte (Les) Hahn, Cindy (Ken) Klein, Bonnie Bentz, Clark (Joy) Stieve, Brenda (Greg) Bury and many nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of family and friends was from Noon – 3:30 PM on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Delano Senior Center, 234 2nd St. N. in Delano. Due to CoVid 19, a private family Memorial Service followed. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
