Darlene Anna Neisen age 91 of Montrose, formerly of Delano fell asleep in Jesus’ loving arms on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.  She was born on November 9, 1933, to Edward and Anna (Kusserow) Schuette in Camden Township, Minnesota.

Darlene grew up in Mayer on the family farm.  She met Robert J. Neisen at a polka dance, and they were married on June 10, 1953, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer, Minnesota.  To this union two sons were blessed.  Darlene enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and tending to the farm chores.  She was always the one tending to baby calves.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Robert, daughter-in-law Stephanie, siblings and spouses Kenneth Schuette, Mike Schuette, Delbert and Erna Schuette, Phyllis and Lyle Leaf; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Alan and Marilyn Westlin, Dororthy and William Topel, Leo and Elizabeth Topel, John Neisen; step-granddaughter Toni Huber.

She is survived by her sons Jim (Karen) Neisen; Jerry Neisen; grandchildren Donnie (Jenny) Dennis, William Dennis, Steven (Amanda) Speetzen, Erin (Josh) Hanson, Alicia (RT) Ragan, Josie Neisen, Arick Neisen, Austin Neisen; great grandchildren Laci Dennis; Austin Dennis, Natylee Dennis, Alivia Dennis, Nolan Speetzen, Nora Speetzen, Drake Hanson, Bella Hanson, Richard Jacob Ragan; sister-in-law Eldoris Schuette; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano, Minnesota.  Gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday afternoon from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, Minnesota.  The gathering will continue Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m. in the church prior to the services.
