David Jerde age 72 of Delano, was born on August 4th, 1948 in Watertown, Minnesota. After a courageous 6 1/2 year battle with kidney failure, his journey ended August 20th, 2020. David is survived by his wife Debbi of 36 years, son Randy Nelson and wife Sondra, grandchildren Hailey & Cole Nelson, brothers & sisters-in-law Russel and Barb, Marvin & Joan, Gilbert & Judy, Joe & Ellen, Jimmy & Gail, Norman & Kathy, Yvonne, Pauline, brother-in-law & wife Dan Fertig & Carol. Many nieces, nephews, & other relatives. Preceded in death by parents Don & Elsie, brothers Howard, Loren, Clifford, & Curtis. Dave worked at Herc-U-Lift for 34 years, and retired in 2010. Inurnment with Military Honors to be at Delano Public Cemetery alongside Debbi’s daughter Shannon. Memorials are preferred, with plans to be donated to the Kidney Foundation.
