DoLores B. Ohlendorf, age 92 of Delano, Minnesota, formerly of Collinsville, Illinois and Belleville,Illinois passed away October 25, 2016. She was born on July 5, 1924 in Collinsville to Elmer and Edna (Eble) Barton.
DoLores married Gus Henry Ohlendorf in 1944. They made their home in Caseyville, where they raised their son, Douglas. In the early 1960’s, DoLores and Gus moved to Collinsville. After several years of retirement, they moved into the Atrium Assisted Living in Belleville before moving to Delano to be closer to Douglas.
DoLores loved to crochet. She was always making something, whether it was an afghan or baby item, to give away. DoLores and Gus also enjoyed RV camping.
DoLores was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Keith. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Gus and son Douglas (Cathleen).
A Funeral Service was held at 11 AM on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville. Visitation was Monday, from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Interment was in St. Johns Cemetery in Collinsville.
