Donald Leslie Mills. age 79 of Maple Plain passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013. He was born January 27, 1934 to Leslie and Virginia (Gilbert) Mills in Bonesteel, South Dakota.

Donald was a lifelong farmer in the Maple Plain/ Independence area.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Virginia and an infant brother and sister. He is survived by his sisters Joanne (Leland) Shrode and Donna (Roland) Herbst; nephews Jeffrey (Doreen) Shrode, Kevin (Mary) Shrode, Steven (Florence) Shrode, Bradley (Barbara) Shofner, Randy (Joannie) Shofner; 11 great nieces and nephews: Adam (Tiffany) Shrode, Matthew Shrode, Ryan Shrode, Collin Shrode, Kathryn Shrode, Alan Shrode, Averi Shrode, Alexandra Shrode, Andi Jo Shrode, MaKenzie Shofner, Jessica Shofner, and Travis Shofner; as well as other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Maple Plain Community Church in Maple Plain, Minnesota. Inurnment was in the Lewis Cemetery in Maple Plain, Minnesota.
