Donna M. Pouliot (Voltin)

Donna Marie Pouliot age 66 of Loretto, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.  She was born September 14, 1957, to Milton and Catherine (Jaschke) Voltin in Buffalo, Minnesota.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She grew up in Delano and graduated from Delano High School in 1976. After graduation, she enlisted in the Navy as a nurse. She met and married the love of her life, Allen Pouliot, in 1982 and they were blessed with two children.

Donna loved to create and bestow her many talents on friends and family, especially when it came to holidays or special events. Halloween was one of her favorites and she made the best costumes for the kids in her family and even for the annual town kiddie parade! 

To this day, the Fourth of July in Delano holds a special place in the families’ hearts and was an occasion Donna looked forward to all year. She also loved to bake special cakes for her family’s birthdays and events. Her homemade frosting was a family favorite. 

Donna was a truly loving, kind soul and you could see her greatest joy was in being with her family. She was so proud of her kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and everyone she loved. She will be greatly missed and forever loved. 

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Catherine Voltin, sister Darlene Voltin, sister-in-law Kathy Voltin; parents-in-law Donald and Rita Pouliot.  She is survived by her husband Allen; children Robyn Pouliot, Clinton Pouliot; grandchildren Ayden Zimmerman and Ashlyn Timm; siblings and spouses Darwin (Virginia) Voltin, Howard Voltin, Sheldon Voltin, Vicky (Tim) Rajewsky; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Juliane (Dave) Krier, Joyce (Randy) Hatcher, David (Louise) Pouliot, Douglas (Denise) Pouliot, Janice (Pat) Hank, Jodi (Dave) Thomsen, Aaron (Peggy) Pouliot; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, Minnesota.  Gathering of family and friends will be held for two hours prior to the Mass from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church prior to Mass.
