Dorothy Grace Miller age 93 of Belle Plaine, Minnesota died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at her home in Belle Plaine. She was born March 31, 1918 to Franklin and Grace (Tripp) Heitkamp in Worthington, Minnesota.

Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Plaine for over 60 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was employed at the Women’s Correctional Prison for 10 years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Johan; daughter Carol Buesgens; a grandchild Scott Buesgens; parents Frank and Grace Heitkamp; siblings Kathryn Carstensen, Lois Garrison, Ruth Jeddeloh, JoAnn Linde and Louis Heitkamp. She is survived by her children Lynette (Erv) Heitkamp, Johan (Pat) Miller, Joan (Maynard) Schultz; 19 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; son-in-law Bill Buesgens; siblings Adele Olson, Douglas (Blanche) Heitkamp, Jack (Joyce) Heitkamp, and Beth Wentland.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Plaine, Minnesota. Interment was in the Oakwood cemetery in Belle Plaine.
