‘Durward “Doe” Pelkey age 72 of Delano passed away on Sunday, May 27th,, 2012 at his home in Delano. He was born March 23, 1940 in Little Falls, Minnesota to Clarence and Edna Pelkey. He graduated from Mound High School in 1958 and served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962.

Doe was preceded in death by his son William; and his parents Clarence and Edna Pelkey. He is survived by his wife Gladys of 48 years; children Pamela (Joel) Schroeder, Thomas (Cheryl) Pelkey.

He was a loving and kind man who enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and music.

Celebration of Life servies were held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Ridgeview Home Care/Hospice.
