Dwayne E. Honebrink

Dwayne Ernest Honebrink, age 79, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Delano, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023.  He was born on June 12, 1944, to Marvin and Sylvia Honebrink in Watertown, Minnesota.

Dwayne was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend.  Dwayne grew up in Delano and graduated from Delano High School.  He was a Machinist at Washington Scientific for many years.  Dwayne was married to Bonnie Johnson for 14 years and had two children (Jim and Janell).  In his early years Dwayne enjoyed flying his plane but transitioned to activities on the ground.  He helped his parents working the farm and spent many hours in the fields on a tractor.  He enjoyed the outdoors, went hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and always had a motorcycle.  These outdoor activities were always with family and friends.  He was on a bowling league for many years and spent time trap and skeet shooting.  In his later years, Dwayne enjoyed taking walks, tending to flower gardens and watching sports; especially the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.

Dwayne was preceded in death by:  Parents Marvin and Sylvia Honebrink; Brother Dennis and Sisters Janice, Janell and Judy Honebrink; Grandparents Otto and Lena Klugow and Ernest and Hannah Honebrink, Brother-in-Law Richard Goodale, Nephews Rick and Kevin Honebrink

Dwayne is survived by his family:  Children Jim (Jackie) Honebrink, Janell (Mark) Kunze; Sisters Carol Goodale, LuAnn Dixon, Sue (Harlan) Breeschoten and Cindy Honebrink; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

The funeral was held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Delano on January 5, 2024 at 11:00am with visitation from 10:00-11:00am.  Interment at Mount Olive Cemetery with lunch following at the church.
