Effie Louise Blomquist was born August 18th, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN to Daniel and Kristin Blomquist. Little Effie was born with a chromosomal defect named Trisomy 13 and was not long for this world. She was baptized into Christ and came home with her family on August 20th. Effie was the recipient of many special visits from family and friends during her short life. Surrounded by family, Jesus called her home to Heaven on August 31st, 2016.

Effie is survived by her parents Daniel and Kristin Blomquist of Corcoran, MN, siblings Ana, Bailey, Levi, Sofia, and Silas, maternal grandparents Steven and Jolene (Draeger) Shult of Duluth, MN, paternal grandparents Charles and Carolyn (Simonson) Blomquist of Duluth, MN, great grandmother Donna Shult of Winthrop, MN, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 3rd 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 8417 Cty Rd 13 SE, Delano MN 55328. Visitation was from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd at the church and continued from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services on Saturday.
