Eileen M. Klaers

Eileen Marie was born July 2, 1931 to Robert and Frances (Malak) Grotz, grew up and graduated in Delano, MN before marrying her soul mate, Richard J. Klaers in 1952.  They lived together on the family farm on Lake Sarah outside of Loretto for over 50 years.

Eileen held many jobs in her lifetime, but the most important job to her was her family.  Eileen was active in her church of S.S. Peter and Paul Church in Loretto, being involved in many organizations-running most of them.

Her favorite past times were playing cards with her friends, playing Bingo, quilting, finding new recipes, auctions and especially GARAGE SALES.  She could never drive past a garage sale sign without stopping and looking for a bargain-especially in the Free box.  In her later years, she discovered crafting at Haven Homes.  She was very good at using everything she could get her hands on to ‘create’ something from nothing.  Nothing was EVER thrown away.

Eileen died peacefully on December 22, 2024 at Haven Homes in Maple Plain.
