Ellen Louise (Adickes) Janikula, age 87 of Watertown passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011, in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian burial took place, Friday, November 11 at 11:00AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, MN. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Ellen was born November 25, 1923, the first child of Albert and Ruth Adickes. She attended school in Franklin Township and graduated from the Delano Public High School in 1941.

She was married to Archie Janikula on October 1, 1946, in Watertown, Minnesota. They farmed all their married life, were co-owners of the Montrose Store and Locker Plant and Ellen provided day work for several families.

Ellen is survived by her loving family; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Peggy Janikula; grandsons, Jeremy, Bradley and Cody; sisters-in-law, Gloria and Neva Adickes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Archie, parents Albert and Ruth Adickes, and brothers Erwin and Stanley Adickes.
