Frank J. Czanstkowski

Frank Joseph Czanstkowski, age 85 of Delano, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 27, 2017. He was born on April 16, 1932 to Albert and Gertrude (Twardy) Czanstkowski.

Frank attended school in a one room school house in rural Delano, a section away from the family farm. He left school to work on the family farm. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.

Frank made his career working with heavy equipment and eventually went on to retail sales. He loved to garden, work in the yard, splitting wood and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed shopping garage sales and especially enjoyed being able to meet new people. Frank was a people person, especially drawn to children. He loved to travel and see the sights.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Gertrude; daughter Linda Sawatzke; grandchildren Raul Cervantes, Rory Gavic; siblings Albert Czanstkowski, Jr., Lucille Horak, Rosemary “Rosie” Dressel, Ann Farr.

Frank is survived by his children Debbie (Dave) Larsen, Rita Bloom, Frank (Debbie) Czanstkowski, Jr., Michael (Melody)Czanstkowski, Dianne Schumacher, Robert (Kathy) Czanstkowski, Scott Czanstkowski, Ryan (Sarah) Czanstkowski, Anthony (Nichole) Czanstkowski, Andrea (Shawn) Huss, Adam Czanstkowski, Aaron Czanstkowski, Amanda (Robert) Manning; 23 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings Mary (Chuck) Hestness, Joe “Butch” (Joanne) Czanstkowski; sister-in-law Frances Czanstkowski; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 3 P.M. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano. Visitation was Wednesday, from 1-3 PM prior to the Mass, at the church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
