Gail N. Flaming, age 62 of Delano.

After a heroic battle with cancer, Gail was delivered into her Heavenly Father’s arms on the morning of September 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mom Eleanor (Warkentin). She is survived by her father Harvey H. Flaming; siblings Phyllis (Jim) Groff, Maribeth (Chuck) Curtis, Erland (Cheryl) Flaming, Merlin (Michele) Flaming; niece and nephews Scott (Kara) Groff, Benjamin (Mindi) Groff, Sonja (Erik) Hettinga, Eric Flaming; friends Jody Wagner and Bob Strandquist.

Gail graduated from Watertown High School and went on to attend Trinity College in Deerfield, IL. Upon college graduation, she entered the work force where she spent the majority of her career in various levels of management in the Long Term Care industry. Most recently Gail served as the Chief Financial Officer at Ewing Land Development in Pella, IA and sat on the Board of Directors for Elim Preferred Services.
Gail had a true servant’s heart and was deeply involved in the lives of family and friends. Flower and vegetable gardening brought her much joy as did singing hymns, especially harmonizing with her siblings.

Memorial Service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 at Watertown Evangelical Free Church, Watertown. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Iten Funeral Home, Delano. A Gathering of family and friends took place one hour prior to the service at the church Friday.
