Gregory L. Reamer
December 22nd, 2021
Gregory Leo Reamer age 55 of Minnetonka passed away peacefully on Hump day, December 22, 2021 with his daughters and brothers by his side. He was born September 27, 1966 to Roger “Buck” and Marjorie (Gmyrek) Reamer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Greg grew up in south Minneapolis, attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1985. He went onto Dunwoody Institute where he graduated as a tool maker in the plastic extrusion mold industry. Greg was known by different names in different circles; to some he was Grunt, to others he was Grump or Hump.
Greg dedicated his life to his daughters and family. He rarely said no and if no was given, it was usually followed up with when he could. It was not until 6 months ago with the arrival of his granddaughter Erin Marie Knudson that there was competition in his heart. She became the focus; time spent with Erin and her entourage was the priority.
Greg was a man of many skills. He re-engineered medical equipment for loved ones in pain. He liked to create fun stuff that he shared to amuse us. Whether it was a spud gun, hover board, cold smoker, jet stove; it was meant to be shared and enjoyed. Greg took pride in his smoking of meats and preparing of artisan sausages. His cooking was always to be shared with those that he cared for. Hunting, fishing, archery were all hobbies to spend time with family and friends. He was a league golfer, past champion of the Polish Open and state archery champion in 2017 of the geriatric league in archery.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents Leo and Theresa (Borgert) Reamer, Charles and Katherine (Kaluza) Gmyrek; aunts Charlotte Iten, Beverly Reamer and Clara Doble; uncles James Gmyrek and Joseph Macko. He is survived by his daughters Kattie Reamer (Luke Nass); Bridget (Jared) Knudson; granddaughter Erin Knudson; parents Roger “Buck” and Marjorie (Gmyrek) Reamer; brothers John Reamer, Paul (Julie) Reamer; nieces and nephews CPT. Joe Reamer, Steven Reamer, Samantha (Keith) Huber, Ryan Reamer, Kasey Reamer; aunts and uncles James Iten, JoAnn (Doug) Josten, Dorothy Gmyrek and JoAnn Macko.
