Irene F. Schanus (Frank) age 91 of Maple Plain. On May 29, 2017 joined her husband Edward P. son Edward G, great grandson Daniel, parents George and Agnes Frank. Siblings Aelred (Katherine) Frank, Alois (Carolyn) Frank, Isabel (Jack) Grimstin, John (Deloris) Frank. Survived by sons Gary (Paulette) Schanus, Larry Schanus, daughter-in-law Linda Schanus. Grandchildren Daniel (Monica) Schanus, Christopher (Sarah) Schanus, Amanda (Eric) Christofferson, Stacie Schanus, Sandra (Mike) Barger, Louis (Shannon) Schanus, Jacob Schanus, Susan Schanus. Great grandchildren Benjamin, Michael, Zach, Alex, Sophia, Kayla, William, Garrett, Anna, Katrina, Joe, Braden, Benett. After a long life of determination, courage and positive attitude she passed away peacefully in unity with God at Haven Homes in Maple Plain. Irene left a legacy to family and friends of forgiveness, patience, wisdom and happiness. An unsung heroine and role model to all who knew her. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Mound. Visitation 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to Mass.
