James "Jim" Blodgett
March 21, 2022
James “Jim” Blodgett, age 80 of Delano, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2022.
Jim lived a life full of his favorite things: camping, boating, snowmobiling (his last trip with his wife, Lisa, and their son Donn was a month before he died), traveling, driving his classic 1970 Chevelle SS, working around the property, repairing things, building things, and working on his model train layout. The layout is modeled after the mountains in the Wind River Range in Wyoming where he and Lisa went snowmobiling; as well as the town of Delano with the river, the gazebo, the power plant, the old train station, and other buildings. The layout is 8′ by 20′.
Jim had a satisfying 34 year career with General Mills, with 11 of those years spent in Canada.
Jim was extremely proud of his sons and their spouses. He is survived by his wife, Lisa; sons, Donn (Sandee), Dustin (Becky) and Eric (Clare); grandkids Devin Ecker (Adam), Katelynn Blodgett (James Unger), Kaitlyn Graham (Rajay), Tyler Seeley, Dane, Noelle, Soren, Anders and Leo; great-grandkids Emmett Ecker, Brynn Ecker and Beckett Blodgett-Unger; brothers Steve (Bev) and Rick (Joyce); nieces and nephews; cousin John Blodgett (Korky); and long-time friend, Jim Wigand.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
