James Frank Mittelstaedt Jr. age 73 of Delano passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota. He was born August 18, 1941 to James and Viva (Lambert) Mittelstaedt in Macomb, Illinois.

James was a loving husband; dad; grandpa; great grandpa; brother and uncle. He was united in marriage in January of 1960 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Orlou Kaye Otrey. He always put family first. He loved to travel, play golf, go boating and sailing and spend time with his family. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

James was preceded in death by his parents James and Viva (Lambert) Mittelstaedt Sr. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Orlou; children Terri Lynn Mittelstaedt, James (Nancy), Heidi (Martin) Langley, William and fiancé Tanya Wandersee, Tommy (Kristi); 16 grandchildren: Thomas Buckingham, Robert Buckingham, Jonathan Buckingham, Krystal Buckingham, Timothy (Sarah) Langley, Tyler Langley, Tucker Langley, Tatum Langley, Billy Mittelstaedt, Cody (Courtney) Mittelstaedt, Kyle Mittelstaedt, Kayla Mittelstaedt, Kendra Mittelstaedt, Tanner Mittelstaedt, Carter Mittelstaedt, Parker Mittelstaedt; 2 great grandchildren: Olivia Kaye and James Ryan Mittelstaedt; brothers Michael (BettyJo) Mittelstaedt; Steven (Sara) Mittelstaedt; Frank (Sallie) Mittelstaedt; sister-in-law Diana Otrey; nieces and nephews; favorite puppy Puddin.

Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Faith Community Church at 1796 County Rd 90 in Maple Plain, Minnesota. Gathering of family and friends began at 5 p.m. until time of services. There was a reception following.
