Jane Mauk, age 79, was born on May 11, 1946, in Waverly, Minnesota, to Robert and Leona (Remer) Gagnon. She married Eldon Mauk on May 13, 1967, and they moved to Buffalo, Minnesota, where she lived the rest of her life.

Jane loved being a mother and grandmother more than anything else in the world.

She also loved playing in local Euchre tournaments, especially on the many days when she won. She enjoyed outings to country band concerts and musicals. She had a big heart and always found creative ways to show people she cared about them, like baking, assembling goodie bags, and other thoughtful gestures.

Jane is survived by her daughter Janel (Mauk) Skubic and son-in-law Paul Skubic, and her son Jeff Mauk. She was a loving grandmother to Summer and Madison Skubic. She is also survived by her sister Judy (Gagnon) Stein and brother-in-law John Stein.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leo Gagnon, brother-in-law Clarence Bauman, and ex-husband Eldon.

Jane will be remembered for her kind heart, sharp wit, and the countless ways she showed love and devotion to her family and friends.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 AM on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly, Minnesota. A gathering took place prior from 9:30-11 AM. Inurnment in the church cemetery.
