Johanna Jane Johnson, age 37, of Delano Minnesota passed away from colorectal cancer on October 10th, 2023. She was surrounded by family and so much love.
Johanna was born on March 26th, 1986 to Lawrence and Deborah Ganske in Amery, Wisconsin. She considered Eau Claire her hometown after spending most of her childhood and teenage years growing up there. In Eau Claire, she grew up in a neighborhood that was lovingly called “the hood” and was surrounded by neighbors that became bonus parents and siblings. After Johanna graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 2004 she went on to study one year at UW- Green Bay and later transferred to UW- Eau Claire where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resources Management degree. During her college years she had the opportunity to study abroad in Perth, Australia. It was an experience of a lifetime, where she met some of her lifelong friends.

In 2014, she began working at General Mills where she started in Human Resources and worked her way up into a Human Resources Workday Services Leader. Johanna was an amazing mother and was so proud of her three boys. As a family they enjoyed camping, fishing and many different sports. Johanna, Kevin and the three boys established their family home in Delano, Minnesota. They were fortunate to have found their own “hood”, surrounded by a loving community of friends, family and neighbors.
Johanna had many passions in life and accomplished so much for the shortened time she had on this earth. She found joy in running and had completed numerous half marathons and two marathons. She also had a love of traveling, refurbishing furniture, gardening, camping at the family land on the Yellow River in Spooner, Wisconsin, and enjoying time with family and friends.
