Joseph A. Babatz, age 82 of Rockford, passed away on January 29, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard Lake. He was born on May 23, 1935 in Delano, MN to Sylvester and Evelyn (Kuchenmeister) Babatz.

Joseph entered the U.S. Army on July 31, 1952 and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal on July 31, 1960. He was a long-time member of the Delano American Legion Post #377. He loved spending time with his family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his sons Kenneth and Charles; great granddaughter Kylee; parents and sisters LeAnn Loew, Rita Mussehl, Dorothy AmBroz, Rosalie Trnka. He is survived by his sons Ronald (Kim) and Keith (Nancy); daughter-in-law Kathy; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano. Visitation was on Tuesday, from 10-11 AM, prior to the service. Interment with Military Honors was at 1 PM in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
