Joyce L. (Maas) Otto age 79 of Delano died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born August 26, 1930 to Charles and Annie (Schultz) Maas in Maple Plain, Minnesota.

Joyce was united in marriage on October 19, 1948 to George E. Otto at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano. Joyce raised the family and ran the business.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Annie Maas and a son Dwight Otto; brothers-in-law Vernon “Short” Wright, Ray Strybicky, Ed Leick, and Paul Ruhr. She is survived by her husband George of 61 years; sons Greg and Jacky Otto, Jeff and Lorri Otto; 3 grandchildren Christopher Otto, Ryan and Anne Otto, Ashley Otto; great grandchildren Abigail Joy and Reese “RJ”; sisters and spouse Valerie Wright, Lucille Strybicky, Deloris and Harry Poliwoda, Donna Leick, Janice Ruhr; brother Leon Maas.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Rev. Christopher Wenthe officiated at the Mass with interment in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were Scott Van Lith, Greg Maas, Eddie Maas, Duane Poliwoda, Greg Otto, and Jeff Otto.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Peter Catholic Church, Delano. Visitation 2 hours prior to services in the church on Sat. Rosary 9 a.m. Interment church cemetery.
