June Carol Hyland, age 79 of Montrose, formerly of Mound passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Buffalo Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1942 in Biwabik, Minnesota.

June graduated from Hopkins High School in 1960. She worked for the Mound Police Department and later at the Presbyterian Homes, Lake Minnetonka Shores, in Spring Park. She retired in 2012 at the age of 70.

June had a green thumb and loved gardening. She also was involved in United Legacy Search and Rescue.

June was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Elsie (George) Robinson; sister Janet (Harold) Ellison; and nephew Scott Ellison. She is survived by her children Don Robinson, Bethann (Anthony) Wilson, and Troy Hyland; 9 grandchildren Elizabeth, Cody, Andrew, Caitlin, David, Amy (James), James (Amanda), Hailey, and Hannah; 6 great grandchildren Zander, Ava, Wesley, Piper, Jacob, and Cami; and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life was held at 3 PM on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano. A gathering of family and friends was Sunday, from 1-3 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
