Karole Ann Diethelm age 64 of Delano passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Karole was born April 30, 1949 to Roman and Erma (Thene) Popp in Little Falls, Minnesota.

Karole was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was employed as a nurse for 20 plus years in the Delano Health Care Center/Golden Living Center. Later in her work career she became a Deputy Coroner for the Minnesota Regional Coroner’s Office in Hastings, Minnesota.

Karole loved to garden, both flowers and vegetables. She was avid reader and enjoyed cooking for others. She was united in marriage on May 3, 1969 to Vernon James Diethelm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice, Minnesota.

Karole is survived by her husband Vernon; children Ann (Brian) Scheinost, Amy (Dennis) Edholm, James Diethelm; grandchildren Jacob and Nathan Edholm, Jackson and Bennett Scheinost; mother Erma Popp; siblings twin sister Kathy (Tim) Brastrup, William (LuAnn) Popp, Theodore (Bonnie) Popp, Joel (Shirley) Popp.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Interment was in the church cemetery.
